High blood pressure and kidney disease has close relations, which can be divided into hypertensive nephropathy and renal hypertension. Kidney disease and high blood pressure related by renal arteries.

Hypertensive nephropathy: long  term hypertension  will cause to  renal
arteries sclerosis, causing to renal ischemia and then kill amounts of renal cells
Renal hypertension: long-term kidney disease, especially for amounts of immune complex deposition, which will not only cause to renal cells damage, but also it causes to silt up of renal arterial and then influencing circle vessels and cause to high blood pressure.
Whether hypertensive nephropathy or renal hypertension, once kidney damaged, should treat kidney firstly and control blood pressure secondly, the aim is releasing the speed of renal failure and decrease the difficulty of treatment
